Christmas just isn't the same this year

I think it might be because the semester was so long and I feel like I missed out on the planning, the joy and the fun of December and Christmas. I haven't found the excitement and fun for this holiday yet. Every time I think I have planned something that will bring the joy of Christmas into my life I am foiled at every turn. Too many things to do and not enough of the joy is the problem. I think that today I will try to focus on the true meaning of Christmas and leave the hectic worldly stuff behind.

Enjoy your Christmas and I will talk to you soon!!! If you have any tips on how to relax and enjoy please pass them on - I am open to suggestions:^)

Happy Times

So it is December 21 and I have enjoyed three days of freedom. I can't believe it snowed on the 18th of this month and the kids ended up with a snow day! I was hoping for a snow day for me so I wouldn't have to do my last final but thankfully that is all behind me. I think this break is going to go by way to fast but I am bound and determined to enjoy every second of it.

Fall Semester Ends

Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day, I have a wonderful feeling, everythings goin' my way. I can not take credit for the words (they come from a song that I cannot remember the words to at the moment) but the feeling a sentiment behind them depict how I feel today.
How great it is to know that as of today i can continue to enjoy life once more and I can finally celebrate this wonderful time of year. The Christmas cards can finally go out, the baking will begin, traditions of looking at lights will commence and I vow I will enjoy my break. I know that my family is looking forward to this person just described and not the crazy, frustrated and angry woman that has been residing here for the last few weeks! It is going to be a "beautiful day."
Did I have to site the song I used? If not I am in big trouble!! ha, ha, ha

Google it

In a few hours I will be free of the craziness that is finals week. Soon it will time to bake, watch Christmas movies and enjoy my family. These are things that have not been an option. The kids have a snow day and I don't get to build snowmen with them. Perhaps at 4 p.m.!!!

Happy end to finals week to all and fun break for you!!!

Professor of my Nightmares

Yes, this is a true story!!!
For the final please create an e-portfolio that I have not shown you how to do AND make sure that you include rationales for the four artifacts that you create AND oh, by the way, did I forget to mention that you can ONLY USE GOOGLE SITES!!!!!!! this is of course the night before the final is due AND each artifact is worth 25 points. Do well on this or kiss your grade good bye!! Thanks a ton Professor

Yes you are definitely feeling and hearing the anger as it oozes through the words used in this post.

Finals Insanity

Yes, insanity is the proper and accurate word of the day. I still have an essay to write for creative writing final today and do you think that I have done it? The answer is of course a resounding NO. Have I studied for the three finals I have tomorrow? Again the answer is NO. What is wrong with me? My final grade depends on this last unit of measurement and I haven't gotten it done. I think this is the part where I can safely say that I have lost my mind - INSANITY.
I guess it is officially time to complete the projects for the day!!! I bid you a found farewell and good luck to all of you this glorious finals week.

Party

So what do you get when you put burnt out english majors in a room? A party!! Yes - we are all getting ready for finals but the need do blow off some steam is necessary to continue. We had a party and fun was had by all (at least that is what I was told). Jason introduced us to a new game, Jana taught me "speed srabble" which makes the game go faster and is fun-that's why of course the name of the game has the word SPEED in it. Kathy and John taught me a different way to play ROOK. Sorry guys, it is super difficult to imagine ROOK with no ones!!! What would the world be like with no ones? Not pretty my friends - ROOK called and it wants its ones back!!!!!! Funny that no one would take the book "Work and the Glory." Is there anyone who can comment on that? Lots of laughs were had and if you wern't there - your square.

So here I am in the "technology " class that I love to go to every thursday(not!). It has been such a waste of time, energy and moneybut, I will jump throught the hoops that are set before me to teach. Finals are looming and I am so excited to compete the tasks at hand to move on with my life. I have several books sitting at the end of my bed waiting to be read - and I plan on enjoying them!!!!

ok...so here I am again avoiding homwork and playing with my new blog. I will get better at posting. Dinner theatre is always a fun experience. P's play was fun and entertaining last night with a cast of several "women." That boy is one lucky guy.
