My Daughter the Princess

Finally, after many years my thirteen year old daughter decided it is acceptable to be a princess. When Peanut was little we took her to Disneyland for the first time at the tender age of five. She was shy about having any of the characters sign her autograph book and when she met Cinderella, Cinderella asked her if she was a Princess and Peanut answered with a resounding "NO!" The shock and embarrassment has never left us. I wondered that day if Cinderella thought Peanut came from an abusive home.

Now eight years later P made a choice to stand in line for an hour and a half to get autographs from Mulan, Jasmine and Ariel. She wanted to get the autographs for her little niece and nephew as much as for herself. Finally, she has decided that it is okay to be a Princess.
Disneyland is a magical place where all people get to be a kid again.

Distress

The day of our midterm in Dr. Sabey's class everyone had been up all night studying for this test, completing the unit plan due for Dr. Glodhardt, and the design for instruction in our other Goldhardt class. I made it to the last class of the day when out of nowhere water began to stream from my eyes. What the heck - they were tears and they would not stop. For anyone who is not aware - I AM NOT A CRIER!!!! This was very upsetting especially if I do cry I do it in private NOT public. I think that it can be said that this is the absolute worst semester. . . well, except for last semester (I think, we'll see). The end is in sight and I will survive.

Disney Princess

Thank goodness for Spring Break!!! I now that everyone will agree when I say "Boy, I needed that." Nothing like a break from school to refresh the soul, body and mind. I know how much Prof. Kauer loves the Disney Princess thing so I made sure to bring back a few princess pens for note taking!!! I know, I just like to make trouble.

Best Husband in the World

Keith Oberman has a episode (sorry, I can't think of a better word for it, its 5 a.m.) that he calls "worst person in the wooorld" so this post goes out to the best husband a girl could ever have. Life is crazy in school - I know that you all will agree. I have been coming home tired and the thought of housework overwhelms me. The last couple of weeks my super awesome hubby has taken it upon himself to make life easier for me and is deep cleaning the house - one room at a time.

Taking on this project has required moving furniture, scrubbing floors and windows and the window sills, alot of shall we say, "Icky" stuff has been found; especially in the kids rooms. My house is now clean with the exception of the kitchen since that is my domain I told him I would take care of that this weekend since he has done so much. I love this man with all my heart and he deserves to have his own post. Sorry girls, this man is all mine and tomorrow he is painting a wall in Meghan's room just because she wanted a little more color in her life.
